Abstract

The Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is a student-centered learning approach that uses contextual problems as a starting point for learning with the help of interactive media in the form of Wordwall games. Conceptual understanding is the student's ability to master, explain, and apply a concept correctly in various relevant situations or problems. Self-efficacy is an individual's belief in their own ability to plan and maintain the actions needed to achieve certain learning goals. Research on the use of the PBL model assisted by Wordwall media is still limited, especially in the context of improving conceptual understanding and self-efficacy of junior high school students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the PBL learning model assisted by Wordwall media in improving conceptual understanding and self-efficacy of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Depok Yogyakarta. The type of research used is experimental research using a pre-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 32 students. The results of the study concluded that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media has a significant effect on conceptual understanding and self-efficacy of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Depok Yogyakarta.
